Cheese Grits

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup stone ground white grits
  • 4 cups stock or water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 300
  2. Combine the grits, stock/water, salt, pepper and butter in a saucepan, bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. 
  3. Add the half and half, Velveeta, and parmesan cheese. Stir over medium heat until velveeta is melted and well mixed. Bring to simmer.
  4. Spray a 8-10” casserole dish with Pam then pour the grits into the casserole dish and bake at 300 for an hour.
